Using an EPoS (Electronic Point of Sale) system to collect micro-donation, can be a simple solution to achieve your social responsibility goals.

Now more than ever, there is a growing importance for companies to ramp up their focus on social responsibility. Micro-donations refer to small donations made by individuals to support charitable causes.
They have gained popularity in recent years due to their accessibility and ease of use at digital pay points.
Not all EPoS systems have the capability to process donations to charity, Uniware is different, we have teamed up with ‘Pennies’ to offer our clients and simple solution to implementing a micro-donation system to process customer donations to charity.

Pennies is the market leader for micro-donations in the UK. They work with businesses to provide digital micro-donation solutions at the point of sale. This ‘digital charity box’ is designed to fit with our increasingly cashless lifestyles.
How do you use an EPoS to donate to charity
The Uniware system offers a built-in donation feature that allows your customers to make donations to charity at the time of purchase.
1 - On the Pin Entry Device (PED) the customer is offered a donation prompt.
2 - The customer confirms the amount they wish up donate using the touchscreen.
3 - The EPoS system will then process the donation as part of your customers overall transaction, the receipt shows the total purchase amount, including the donation.
4 – Payment automatically splits - the payment for goods goes through your normal process and the donation goes directly to your chosen charity.
This enables you to introduce micro-donation to your social responsibility initiatives which can be a powerful tool for helping a community in need.
