Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals approached Uniware mid 2015 looking for an EPoS system to provide an easy-to-use service to compliment the comfortable environments where patients & visitors can take a break and enjoy drinks and refreshments.
In late Autumn, Uniware’s EPoS solution was installed at the 2 sites, consisting of 7 Toshiba TCx Waves, Toshiba 4610-1NR receipt printers and 7 VeriFone Vx820 Chip & Pin terminals.
With 30 NHS hospital and private hospital already in Uniware’s client base, we used our knowledge in this sector to provide Brighton & Sussex Hospitals with the clean, quick and reliable service that they needed.

Stock Control, Uniware Cloud API to Saffron Stock
Uniware were requested to host sales data export service to Saffron through the Uniware Cloud API. As a Uniware partner, Saffron takes the exported list of sales from the Uniware Cloud and associates with the stock items in their system. This then allows the hospitals to accurately cost recipes and menu plans for their customers and patients, account for their stock, manage purchasing of food stock and much more!

Project Management for Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals
With an experienced team of project managers, the team were with the hospitals every step of the way.
Starting with the technical installation, engineers from Uniware's elite projects team went to both sites and fully implemented the EPoS system before moving on to train the PoS operators, showing them all of the extensive functionality of the till and answering any questions along the way.
All users of the back office system were also trained via 3 hour webinars presented by members of the Uniware projects team to help the users fully understand all aspects of the system.
Finally, in late August 2015 on the date of the system “Go Live”, a Uniware engineer was present to assist with any queries and help the day run smoothly.
