Unipart install IUMIS
Following a significantly detailed selection process Uniware were selected to provide the IUMIS soliton linked with Upay and Udeli (Uniware's own deli ordering solution via the Internet).
Using Mifare cards Unipart also took advantage of the Uniware ability to use biometrics as a secondary back up for when a staff member leaves their card at home. All money loading is via the Internet and using Upay with its unique advantages of Auto top up and no transaction charges.
Caerphilly County Borough Council select Uniware
Caerphilly County Borough Council decided to go cashless in their new prestigious offices in Wales. Following a long tender process Uniware were selected for this project.
The solution comprises IBM Surepos 500 terminals linked to Mifare card readers, account loading is via locally installed account management stations using a combination of coins notes and credit and debit cards, plus Upay for account loading over the Internet.
Upay also now includes Udeli which provides a fully integrated desktop deli ordering solution for staff.
Numerous vending machines have also been converted to accept cashless cards across the offices.
Uniware also provided a DDA compliant Guest card terminal which is a new breed of height adjustable terminals allowing for both DDA and normal use.
Speechly Bircham upgrade to IUMIS
Uniware installed the very latest in web hosted solutions at Speechly Bircham new offices in the City during May 2008. Taking full advantage of reducing the on site IT requirements, Uniware provided the solution using our ASP .Net IUMIS application. Money is loaded using a combination of Upay web loading and credit and debit cards on site.
Withers replace their cashless provider with Uniware
Installed in June 2008 Uniware replaced an ageing cashless solution with UMIS and IBM Surepos 500 terminals in the City.
Uniware installs Pay Wave with RBS at a premier London University
Installed ready for the October students the University have chosen to implement the first contactless payment system using debit cards for the incoming students. A joint project with Commidea, RBS & Uniware has now produced a showroom site to evaluate the benefits of contactless payments in the University market.
Uniware wins major cashless solution banking contract
Possibly the largest cashless contract awarded to any
UK company in 2007.
Following a lengthy tender process Uniware has won and installed the Umis
cashless system using our Upay web loading service and IBM Surepos hardware
across 8 sites ranging from the City to the South coast. This contract
respresents a major gain for Uniware and makes a perfect reference
for any prospective client looking for an enterprise cashless solution.
Nido - install Umis
Blackstone Property chose Uniware for their new operations at Nido. A Umis
cashless payment solution now controls all point of sale, vending and laundry
operations for resident students in London. Using Mifare card technology
students no longer have to carry cash whilst on the Nido premises. Students
use Uniware's Upay service to load money to their cashless account over
the Internet meaning there is no cash to be counted or taken whilst on
site.
PriceWaterhouseCoopers install Umis across the estate
Aramark catering selected Uniware to roll out an EPoS solution across all
offices of their client. Requirement was to standardise reporting and Uniware
worked with Aramark to provide a very detailed set of business reports
for this project.
Kellogg Company - select Uniware
Using a Klix key for their vending and now wanting to introduce point of
sale for staff was an interesting challenge for Kelloggs. Uniware had already
used the Klix key on several other sites and provided the solution. Using
IBM Surepos hardware, readers from Klix ensured a turnkey solution could
be installed in the Manchester business.
Basildon Hospital
Basildon Hospital a new Aramark contract introduced the Umis solution to
provide front of house services to the hospital staff and visitors. Using
IBM Surepos hardware Uniware installed the solution representing further
inroads into our health service contracts.
Think Money install Salary Sacrifice with Uniware
Think Money installed Umis to provide a Salary Sacrifice solution for use
in their catering outlets. Umis Salary sacrifice solution is now installed
at many of Uniware's clients and provides a direct
import facility from payrol to the Umis back office solution.
One clear
advantage of Umis with salary sacrifice is that the funds are immediately
available without having to upload them to the users card.
City Academy Bristol
A further biometric cashless payment solution has been installed at the City
Academy in Bristol. This client also has the Upay web loading service installed
for parents to load their child's cashless account over the Internet.

National Galleries of Scotland
The National Galleries of Scotland have selected Uniware to provide UMIS Retail within their four sites in Edinburgh. The UMIS solution provides the sites with a complete retail solution incorporating stock control using IBM PoS terminals and PDAs.
Chevron
Uniware install a complete cashless solution at the new Chevron offices in Aberdeen comprising of IBM PoS hardware, Account Management Stations, Upay on line web loading and cashless vending. Cashless payment is using a multi function Mifare card.
St Martins College
St Martin’s is a multi-campus institution across three main campuses in Lancaster, Amberside and Carlisle. After a thorough tender process Uniware were selected to install the UMIS cashless solution. The solution is comprised of 11 IBM PoS terminals using Uniware's online account management service - Upay on line web loading for account loading.
MOD - Carver and Waterbeach Barracks
Caterers Aramark have extended The UMIS Pay as you dine scheme is to Carver and Waterbeach Barracks .
Personnel at RNAS Culdrose use a card to pay for all catering, bar and shop purchases through a card system. Monthly bills are produced and funds can be debited from their bank accounts.
Avon Valley High School
The UMIS solution is installed within the new build at The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College. The complete cashless solution is comprised of IBM PoS hardware and account value loaders.
Science and Technology Facilities Council
STFC have introduced the UMIS Cashless solution at their Daresbury and Rutherford laboratories. The system uses their existing card technology with a combination of IBM PoS hardware and Account Management Stations.

Nokia Telecommunications- December 2006
After an indepth tender process, Nokia selected the UMIS cashless
system to be installed at their offices in Farnborough. The UMIS system
uses the existing Cliptag RFID active card with hardware consisting
of 8 IBM touch screen terminals, 1 handheld terminal, 12 vending terminals
and 5 cash loaders. Selected cash loaders accept both GBPs and Euros.
St George's Retreat - December 2006
Uniware are pleased to announce that the UMIS system has gone live at St George's Retreat in Ditchling. The installed UMIS system is a combination of EPoS and cashless for residents incorporating a loyalty scheme. UMIS stock control module is also being used at this site.
Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre - November 2006
Uniware are pleased to welcome the Penny Brohn Cancer Care Centre in Bristol to their client base. The UMIS retail system has been installed at the centre, the system's modules in use at this site are stock control, mail order, integrated EfT and bespoke software interfaces to Sage, Razorsedge and CourseBooker.
Aberystwyth Arts Centre - November 2006
The UMIS retail system has been installed at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre, the newly built gallery runs the UMIS software on three IBM touchscreen terminals with integrated EfT.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer - September 2006
Following a long tender process Uniware are pleased to announce a contract win at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer to replace the current cashless payment system. A key feature to the UMIS System is Upay the Uniware web loading service. Card holders can now go online at their desktop, at home or at work and top up their cashless account. The card holders do not have to go to a terminal to update their card as funds are available immediately. The site has two newly launched AMS Account Management Stations which allows card loading via notes and coins and debit cards. Mini statements are also available from the AMS. IBM PoS terminals were used throughout the estate and IBM Anyplace kiosks at the AMS.
BOC - September 2006
Uniware are pleased to announce a new contract partnership with BOC at their Guildford offices. Uniware were chosen to replace the existing System with a combination of cashless payment and vending terminals using the existing HID security card.
Marlowe Academy - September 2006
Following an extensive research of the market the Marlowe Academy have selected Uniware to be the cashless system provider at the new build school. The UMIS system has gone live at the school using biometric fingerprint recognition which has removed the need for students to carry cashless cards.
Tamworth Manor - September 2006
Uniware are pleased to be extending the partnership with the Harris Academy by supplying the cashless System for Tamworth Manor High School in Surrey. UMIS has been installed using the latest touch screen technology and fingerprint recognition in the cafeteria.
Sackville School - September 2006
After researching the schools cashless market place, Sackville School have selected Uniware to provide a 3 terminal system using coin and note loading facilities.

New addition - Account Management Station launched – August 2006
The new Account Management Station has been launched and is already being installed in the city. The new station allows users to top up their card using cash or credit/debit cards which credits to their cashless account immediately. Users can also view or print summary and full statements.
Electronic Arts Onslow House - August 2006
Uniware have replaced the existing system at their offices in Hillswood. The site has gone live using IBM terminals and Net Vista Kiosks as well as cashless vending using Maas vending machines.
Hartsdown Technology College - August 2006
Having operated at this site since 2002 Uniware are pleased to be awarded the contract to upgrade all equipment at this site and move forwards with latest IBM touch screen hardware.
Salary Sacrifice sweeps the industry – July 2006
Salary sacrifice is the latest topic to be sweeping the catering industry. This is when an employee takes a formal reduction to their cash salary in exchange for a non cash benefit. Courtyard Theatre have installed Uniware for the
all new Courtyard Theatre. New features for the
operators at this site include pre ordering of
interval drinks to replace the previous paper
based system. Also in use is the widely used budget
accounts facility which has removed even more
of the paper trail.
BP Executive & Stockley Park offices - June 2006
Due to the expansion of BP offices in London, Uniware have been commissioned with supplying additional cashless systems for offices in Stockley Park Uxbridge.
Corpus Christi College Cambridge - May 2006
Following a review of their catering operations Uniware have been selected to install a cashless system at Corpus Christi College in Cambridge. The solution uses Uniware UMIS software powering IBM Surepos 500 Redwood terminals.
National Galleries of Wales - March 2006
Uniware has grown the partnership with the National Galleries of Wales by installing 2 new sites - The Slate Museum along with The Wool Museum have gone live with the UMIS EPoS and Stock management system.
Queen Mary's Hospital Sidcup - March 2006
Working with Caterers Aramark Uniware have installed the UMIS solution using IBM touch screen terminals in the staff and public restaurant areas at Queen Mary's Hospital.
Denham Garden Village - March 2006
Installed in February and now fully live Denham Garden Village have updated their systems in their cafeterias, bars and the village supermarket with a UMIS solution.
The hardware platform is IBM Surepos 500 Redwood with EfT being provided by Commidea.
JP Morgan Luxembourg - January 2006
Following a long selection process Uniware Systems were selcted to provide JP Morgan with a cashless system to replace the incumbent supplier in Luxembourg.
Using latest IBM Redwood touch screen PoS terminals this represents a major win for Uniware.
The caterer is Aramark and the opening coincided with the opening of new catering facilities.
Xpress ordering and Uniware at Canada Square - December 2005
Uniware Systems and Xpress Ordering have jointly interfaced systems allowing customers to place Deli bar orders remotely making payment with their cashless card at the time of order.
Queuing at the Deli bar whilst the staff prepare your order is now confined to the history books.
This is a clear winner and Uniware Systems are the ONLY cashless payment provider to have gone beyond talking about partnerships with Xpress Ordering and to have delivered the solution.
